Valleyfield episode 2 of the ACHA 2012 Series presented by Hydroplane Quebec features the 2.5 Liters and Grand Prix classes and is the ninth in our 15 part series that will be shown every Tuesday at 8PM. After the episode has been broadcast it will be available on demand right here. We are pleased to present the entire 2012 ACHA season and hope you enjoy the show.

Race program solidified for the 75th edition of Regates de Valleyfield

SALABERRY-DE-VALLEYFIELD, FRIDAY FEBRUARY 22, 2013 – It is with great pleasure that the Regates de Valleyfield Organisation announces the participation this year of four Teams from GP West for the 75th edition of the event.

Fans of Hydroplane Racing will once again have the difficult task of predicting who will come out on top. The caliber of racing will be extremely high in the Grand Prix category where 18 Teams will be battling for top honors on Saint Francois Bay. We can say that the level of competition will be unique in this class. All teams will want to beat their adversaries and win the Valleyfield event.

The actual qualification procedures have not yet been determined but never the less it is evident that extreme confrontations will take place in the final. Also the best ACHA drivers will face off against the best GP West drivers in the closing race of the weekend on Sunday July 14th during the “GP Challenge” ….for sure the highest level of competition to close the 75th event in grand style.

The following teams will take part in the local competition – and note that these are four of the five best performing teams on the GP West circuit in the Seattle region. (See the 2012 Championship ranking below.):

• GP-15 Hopp Racing, Jerry and Greg Hopp. Driver: Jerry Hopp
• GP-17 Shockwave Racing, Shawn Bridgeman and Rick Bridgeman. Driver: Dustin Echols
• GP-55 Susie and Scotty Pierce. Drivers: Scotty Pierce and Kevin Eacret

The presence of GP West at the Regates de Valleyfield in addition to the Tunnel Boats from the Formula 1 circuit will give added value to the regular race program and highlight this special anniversary event. Valleyfield will be one of the first stops on the GP West schedule.
