Lock Haven, PA will once again be the gracious hosts for the 44th annual Labor Day stock, and modified outboard regatta.

Located at one of the finest venues boat racing has to offer,  Lock Haven draws a huge, and diverse field of outboard classes. The local Jaycees head up an astounding effort to put on a spread of food, crafts, rides, music, and entertainment, that anyone looking for a weekend destination for the family would be impressed with.

The volunteers attention to details brings the city of Lock Haven to a carnival atmosphere for 3 days……and nights too!!!

With a concrete seating area reminiscent of a Roman colosseum, the front stretch straight away leading to the finish line must easily  accommodate 2000+ people (wild guess, it’s HUGE!!!) Comfortably stretched out on cushions, and blankets.

Lock Haven accommodates a great many classes of outboards both stock and modified.  Outboard  races in general tend to have so many entries in  events of this magnitude, that the organizers have gotten very efficient at running a  fast moving program. Expect an action packed stream during the race schedule.

Once again this year, Jimmy Shane (GP inboard hydroplane driver of the Long Gone) will be racing his runabout there, and may also be running a hydro (last year he did).

Be sure not to miss the climax of the event!!!

Sunday around noon will be the legendary C-stock hydro “Dash for Cash”. C- stock hydro is one of the most competitive racing classes in any form of racing. There will be a full 12 boat field of whoever made it through the qualifiers to be fortunate enough to have a shot at the “winner take all” pot!!!!
