ACHA Announcement

This past Saturday ACHA held their first annual convention in Valleyfield, Quebec. During the awards ceremony and banquet the 2011 ACHA hydroplane champions were recognized along with some new trophies. In closing the evening’s presentation the ACHA board members came on stage for a special announcement. ACHA Commissioner, Didier Bernard Séguin thanked everyone who had supported ACHA in the 5 years since it was started by himself and Michel Poirer. He then told the crowd that the ACHA would now stand for American Canadian Hydroplane Association. What this means for the future of the ACHA was left for the surprised and excited crowd to interpret. Hydroplane Quebec will have more video from what was by all accounts the best inboard hydroplane awards attendees had seen.
